The campsite is located on McCrae Lake, McCrae Lake Conservation Reserve. This is a very open, large and windy campsite with a magnificent view from the top of the huge granite outcrop, which forms the campsite itself. There are pines and juniper, the typical vegetation for such a place. There's a good swimming spot, and a protected treed area to pitch a tent.
